Mjolo the Pandemic

Drumroll, if you please! Today we celebrate the return of the R’n’B sensation, vocalist and fashion guru, Varaidzo Nyakunika back into the music scene.

Varaidzo is the personification of ‘not just a pretty face’ as she is also an astute businesswoman and a registered lawyer.

I was thrilled to receive a call from her management, a Mr Jani, about a certain song in which rising star Nyasha David was featured. So I went through my usual ritual when listening to a song. I will talk about that later. In a short space of time we had agreed on the concept. A shoot was scheduled and things went relatively smoothly.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with these two.

Goldcity films would like to give a big shoutout to the talented music producer Rodney Sibanda, popularly known as Rodney Beats for his masterful production and we certainly would love to work on more songs produced by him.

Massive thanks also to Londoners Sports Bar in Strathaven for providing us the location under very favourable conditions.

Concept

‘Tempted’ is a song that reveals the deepest desires between two people who are in different relationships but they fancy each other. We respect the fact that they choose restraint which informed our creative decisions as well.

Varaidzo and I worked on the concept together and we are both happy with the results. We would like to congratulate Varaidzo on the success of her project and wish her the same for her beautiful album titled aptly ‘THE COMEBACK’
